B&K 2″xClose Schedule 80 Pipe Nipple is made of durable PVC and has a maximum pressure of 200 pounds per square inch. It is IAPMO certified and NSF listed, ensuring its safety and reliability. It is used for pressure applications and is Lead-Free. It is resistant to mild acids, solvents, and oils. Pipe thread compound or sealing tape should be applied to the threaded portion of the nipple. Nipples are IPS (Iron Pipe Size) and threaded to NPT (National Pipe Thread) pipe threads and meet ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) specifications D1785.
